Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary

Matthew Dermody has been a Special Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Secretary since February 2018.

Matthew Dermody graduated from Kent State University in 2010, then worked as a Staff Assistant and Legislative Correspondent in the Office of Senator Jon Kyl from 2010 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015 he worked at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP as a policy analyst. In 2015 he returned to Capitol Hill, where he worked on the House Natural Resources Committee for Chairman Rob Bishop for approximately 18 months. From October 2016 to February 2018 Dermody worked at Water Strategies, LLC, which is a lobbying firm.
